Wild Toro Slot Review

Enter the romantic world of Spanish bullfighting in this new game from Swedish maker Elk studios. You may not personally agree with the sport, but it’s clear who has the upper hand in this contest as the sneaky matador tries to get the upper hand over the brave wild bull throughout this fun and engaging slot.

So, will you grab the bull by the horns with this game, or will you end up trampled? Let’s take a look!

Game Background

Elk studios are well known in the industry for turning out great looking slots, so it’s no surprise to see that Wild Toro has a lot of polish to it. The cartoonish style looks great, and there is a lot of attention to detail from the little Spanish town with fluttering flags and excited crowds at the beginning, to the animation of the reels themselves. Winning symbols include bronze coins, silver coins, gold pieces, a group of five fans, an orange impaled by daggers, and roses which pay 1000x the original bet.

With five reels, four rows and 178 ways to win the victories come thick and fast, and there’s a lot of money at stake: You can bet from 0.20 to 100 credits at a time, and the top jackpot comes in at 200,000 coins, which means a potentially massive top prize. This all adds up to an RTP of 96.4%, which should be enough to keep you excited!

Feature Bonuses

So far so good for this game, but the real interest comes in the bonus rounds, which are both imaginative and lucrative. There are no free spins as such in this game, but the Wild Toro feature more than makes up for it. When the Toro wild lands in reel five it will then act as a ‘walking wild’, hopping left to the next reel. Toro generates a free spin each time it moves a reel to the left, though sadly this can be stopped in its tracks if Toro comes up against the sneaky Matador in one of the reels, but it’s possible for him to go from one side to the other, generating four re-spins!

While in the first game you’ll want to avoid the Matador as much as possible, the second bonus round can only be triggered by landing three Matadors on your reels! The first section of this bonus grants you three free spins, and stops all the Matador symbols that come up on the reels, granting you a new re-spin for every one you catch. You can keep adding to your spins until you run out, or until a Toro wild lands on your reels. When that happens, Toro leaps into action and moves around the reels, chasing off the Matadors and replacing them with Toro wilds, generating an enormous potential payout! You can trigger these features many times, so it’s a great weapon to really rack up the cash.

Casino77 Verdict

Most of the game is traditional slots fare, but the addition of a couple of innovative bonus rounds means there’s a reason to stick around until the going gets good.
