Three Card Poker

Three Card Poker

Poker undertakes many different forms on casinos both online and offline, but three card poker is one of the most popular variations thanks to its relatively simple rules and the lure of potentially huge jackpots if you land a big hand. Let’s take a look at some of the gameplay and rules in a bit more detail before you dive in.

Gameplay, Visuals And Rules

Visually speaking, the three card poker tables on Casino77 very much resemble those you would see in a typical casino. Upon arrival you will be greeted by one of our friendly, knowledgeable live dealers who will invite you to place your bets for the next game. You have three boxes to choose from. The first is the “ante” bet which is betting on the strength of your hand against the dealer’s. The box to the left of your ante is the “pair plus” box which offers a range of bonuses if you land a premium hand, while the third box on the right-hand side of the playing area is the 6-card bonus side bet, which combines your three cards with the dealer’s hand to create one large poker hand. The largest of these potential wins is a royal flush, which pays out at a very juicy 1000/1.

These side bets are optional but you will have to play the ante bet if you are to be eligible to play the other two side bets. Once your bets are locked in, you will be dealt three cards, face up, while the dealer will give themselves three cards, face down. Then it’s decision time – do you want to “play” your hand, which requires you to match your ante bet, or do you “fold” the hand and wait for the next round to begin. For example, if you wagered $€£10 on the ante, you must stake another $€£10 to effectively double down on your bet. At this point, the dealer then reveals their cards, and fingers-crossed, your hand will be stronger than theirs! If your hand is a winner you will be paid at odds of even-money, with varying payouts on offer if you land at least a pair and have betted on the pair-plus side bet. As always, we recommend consulting the paytable on the left hand side of your screen so you know your odds before starting your session.

Finally, have a quick look over the ranking of poker hands just so you can get a firm idea of when to play your hand and when to fold it, as you can often win a hand without even needing a pair!
